An evening hand-building class for two! 1st & 3rd Fridays of every month.
Service Description
**Important** During booking select 1 participant only! IF you select two participants it will charge you for two couples. If you do this and ask for a refund for the second booking we will refund it according to the our booking policy minus a $15 administration charge. If you're a Vancouver Washington local and looking for a unique date night, this class is for you! Join us for date night and build something beautiful with your partner or friends. This is a 1.5 hour beginners hand-building class where you will learn the basics of sculpting and work together to build something! This class is held every 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. You'll be able to choose from a variety of simple, beginner friendly projects including mugs, vases, etc. Feel free to bring your own inspiration! Our team will fire and single-color glaze two pieces total (one per person) from this class included in the price. Additional pieces are $20 each. Want to get hands on with glazing your piece? Ask your instructor about one of our upcoming glaze lessons. Your handmade pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after your class. Class Details: -Dates & Times: Every 1st and 3rd Friday evening from 6:30-8:00pm. Please try to arrive at least 5 minutes early so we can get started on time. - Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver WA 98660. Street parking in downtown Vancouver is free after 6pm & on weekends, or secure parking is available right down the street in the Lot #18 Park n’ Go Vancouver Center Garage. Price: $150 for two people (one couple/group of two) What’s Included: Two spots in a 1.5-hour guided class focused on learning the basics of hand building, and one final piece each which our studio staff will finish for you. Attire: Wear something comfortable that you are willing to get dirty (clay does wash out of clothes). Pro tip: long nails can make it difficult to work with clay, so plan accordingly, or ask your instructor for tips. Please read below for our cancellation policy and disclaimer.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund or free rescheduling, you must notify us 7 days before your scheduled class/activity. Within 7 days of your class there is no refund but you can choose to reschedule within the first five days of that week prior to your class and must pay 20% of the class price to reschedule. There will be NO reschedule/cancellation for any reason within 48 hours of the class, and no refund will be offered. Any refund offered will be subject to a 4% processing fee. We have this policy in place to protect our employees and artists who are booked specifically for this event, and also other customers who might have had a chance to book if the seat was available. Please understand we are a small service based business and lots of planning and supplies go into making these classes possible. Please be aware this is one of the most generous cancellation and rescheduling policies in our industry, and please don't give our staff a hard time for adhering to it- they are just doing their job. Attention Students!
If you are signing up for a multi-week or workshop that includes open studio time please click below to create an account on our website. Be sure to use the email that you used to book your class. You then will be able to access the Open Studio Sign Up Page under Memberships. Each open studio session is just a start time and is good for up to 3 hours. Open studio time must be used in one day and cannot be split between multiple days. Multi-Week open studio sessions do not roll over and must be used in the week they are allotted.
