Service Description
Gather with us for our ornament workshop, where creativity meets festive cheer in a warm, inviting atmosphere. This 1.5-hour workshop is designed to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience for everyone- even beginners! In this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to work with pre-made clay ornaments (square or round), which provide the perfect canvas for your artistic touch. At the beginning of our time together, one of our studio staff members will provide a short session of instruction to help you get started, then you are free to hang out and decorate! Whether you prefer carving and adding texture, or using stamps to create a personalized design, you'll be creating one-of-a-kind ornaments that capture the essence of the season. You will have the option of adding color to your piece by painting underglaze colors on your ornament. After the workshop, we will bisque fire your piece, dip your piece in clear glaze to give it a shiny finish, and fire it a second time. Your ornament will be ready for pickup a few weeks after the workshop. Reserve your spot now to make this holiday season truly special. Workshop Details: -Multiple Dates & Times: Sunday November 10th 2:30pm-4pm, Friday November 15th 5:30pm-7pm, Saturday November 16th 10am-11:30am, Wednesday December 11th 5:30-7:00pm, and Friday December 20th 6:00-7:30pm. -Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660 -Price: $32 per person which includes 2 ornaments, $14 for each additional ornament if you would like to make more than 2 ornaments during the workshop. -What's Included: A hour and a half of time to embellish and add design to a pre-made clay ornament. An instructor will be available to help as needed! Your glazed and fired ceramic ornament to be picked up a few weeks after the workshop. -Attire: Dress comfortably and be prepared to get your hands a little dirty! Cancellation Policy
For a full refund or free rescheduling, you must notify us 7 days before your scheduled class/activity. Within 7 days of your class there is no refund but you can choose to reschedule within the first five days of that week prior to your class and must pay 20% of the class price to reschedule. There will be NO reschedule/cancellation for any reason within 48 hours of the class, and no refund will be offered. Any refund offered will be subject to a 4% processing fee. We have this policy in place to protect our employees and artists who are booked specifically for this event, and also other customers who might have had a chance to book if the seat was available. Please understand we are a small service based business and lots of planning and supplies go into making these classes possible. Please be aware this is one of the most generous cancellation and rescheduling policies in our industry, and please don't give our staff a hard time for adhering to it- they are just doing their job. Attention Students!
If you are signing up for a multi-week or workshop that includes open studio time please click below to create an account on our website. Be sure to use the email that you used to book your class. You then will be able to access the Open Studio Sign Up Page under Memberships. Each open studio session is just a start time and is good for up to 3 hours. Open studio time must be used in one day and cannot be split between multiple days. Multi-Week open studio sessions do not roll over and must be used in the week they are allotted.
