Service Description
Create a ceramic planter and tray set in this 1.5 hour workshop at Kilnfolk Clay Studio. Your houseplants deserve a handmade home that reflects your personal style! In this hands-on workshop, you'll be guided step-by-step by one of our studio instructors to create a tabletop planter with a matching drainage tray. No prior pottery experience needed! You'll learn various hand building techniques as you craft your pieces, with guidance throughout the process. After the workshop, we will bisque fire your pieces and glaze them in one color of your choice. Want to get hands-on with glazing? Join one of our upcoming glaze workshops, or return to paint your fired pieces with our paint-your-own-pottery glazes- ask your instructor for more information! Here at Kilnfolk, we are all about creativity fostering connection with friends and family, so we encourage you to bring a friend or loved one along to share in this experience. Workshop Details: -Multiple Dates & Times Available: Saturday March 15th 10:00-11:30am, and Sunday March 23rd 2:30-4:00pm. -Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660. Metered street parking downtown, or secure parking is available right down the street in the Lot #18 Park 'n Go Vancouver Center Garage. Street parking is free after 6pm! -Price: $65 per person -What's Included: 1.5 hours of guided instruction, materials, and one single color glazed and fired ceramic planter set (planter and tray) to be picked up a few weeks after the workshop. -Attire: Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Items will be donated to make room on the shelf if not picked up 3 months after the class date.


















Cancellation Policy
For a full refund or free rescheduling, you must notify us 7 days before your scheduled class/activity. Within 7 days of your class there is no refund but you can choose to reschedule within the first five days of that week prior to your class and must pay 20% of the class price to reschedule. There will be NO reschedule/cancellation for any reason within 48 hours of the class, and no refund will be offered. Any refund offered will be subject to a 4% processing fee. We have this policy in place to protect our employees and artists who are booked specifically for this event, and also other customers who might have had a chance to book if the seat was available. Please understand we are a small service based business and lots of planning and supplies go into making these classes possible. Please be aware this is one of the most generous cancellation and rescheduling policies in our industry, and please don't give our staff a hard time for adhering to it- they are just doing their job. Every precaution will be taken to ensure the best possible outcome for every firing. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you will not hold the studio, its volunteers, or any other person associated with the studio responsible for work that is damaged or defective in any way while in the studio at any stage of the process. Please note that all class pieces need to be picked up within 3 months of the class date. It takes an average of 3-4 weeks for pieces to move through the finishing & kiln firing process. You will be notified via email when your piece is ready to be picked up. If you don't hear from us, please give us a call to verify the status of your piece before coming in. After 3 months, pieces will be donated to make room on the studio shelves. While working with clay is relatively safe, there are hazards and risks. These risks include the possibility of injuries or illness related to the use of the studio, materials, or equipment. Attention Students!
If you are signing up for a multi-week or workshop that includes open studio time please click below to create an account on our website. Be sure to use the email that you used to book your class. You then will be able to access the Open Studio Sign Up Page under Memberships. Each open studio session is just a start time and is good for up to 3 hours. Open studio time must be used in one day and cannot be split between multiple days. Multi-Week open studio sessions do not roll over and must be used in the week they are allotted.
