Service Description
**Important** During booking select 1 participant only! IF you select two it will charge you for two couples. If you do this and ask for a refund for the second booking we will refund it according to our booking policy minus a $15 administration charge. This Valentine's Day, transform your most treasured words into lasting ceramic art during this hand-building workshop. Join us for an evening of creativity & connection as you and your partner create beautiful ceramic love letters together. Held on February 14th from 5:30-7:30pm. Please note that when booking, you only need to book one spot for two people, as the cost of the workshop is the price per couple. Whether it's a cherished line from your wedding vows, a snippet from an early love note, lyrics from your first dance song, or any words that tell your story – we'll help you preserve it in clay! Each couple will create either two individual pieces or one larger shared piece, perfect for wall display or as a jewelry/trinket dish. Never worked with clay before? Don't worry! Your instructor will guide you through every step. While you craft, enjoy complimentary sparkling cider and sweet treats in our cozy studio setting. After the workshop, we will bisque fire your two love letters, then apply a clear glaze prior to firing them a second time. Your pieces will be available for pickup approximately 2-3 weeks after your class. Please note that the studio will be shared with our wheel-throwing class, which will be taking place in the wheel area of the studio during this time. Workshop Details: -Dates & Times: 5:30-7:30pm on Friday February 14th -Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660 Metered street parking downtown, or secure parking is available right down the street in the Lot #18 Park 'n Go Vancouver Center Garage. Street parking is free after 6pm! -Price: $245 per couple -What's Included: Guided instruction throughout the class, one set of 2 ceramic love letters (or one larger love letter) to be clear glazed and fired after the workshop. Also includes sparkling cider and other sweet treats. -Attire: Dress comfortably and be prepared to get your hands dirty! Bring your own apron if desired. Cancellation Policy
For a full refund or free rescheduling, you must notify us 7 days before your scheduled class/activity. Within 7 days of your class there is no refund but you can choose to reschedule within the first five days of that week prior to your class and must pay 20% of the class price to reschedule. There will be NO reschedule/cancellation for any reason within 48 hours of the class, and no refund will be offered. Any refund offered will be subject to a 4% processing fee. We have this policy in place to protect our employees and artists who are booked specifically for this event, and also other customers who might have had a chance to book if the seat was available. Please understand we are a small service based business and lots of planning and supplies go into making these classes possible. Please be aware this is one of the most generous cancellation and rescheduling policies in our industry, and please don't give our staff a hard time for adhering to it- they are just doing their job. Every precaution will be taken to ensure the best possible outcome for every firing. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you will not hold the studio, its volunteers, or any other person associated with the studio responsible for work that is damaged or defective in any way while in the studio at any stage of the process. Please note that all class pieces need to be picked up within 3 months of the class date. It takes an average of 3-4 weeks for pieces to move through the finishing & kiln firing process. You will be notified via email when your piece is ready to be picked up. If you don't hear from us, please give us a call to verify the status of your piece before coming in. After 3 months, pieces will be donated to make room on the studio shelves. While working with clay is relatively safe, there are hazards and risks. These risks include the possibility of injuries or illness related to the use of the studio, materials, or equipment. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you have been informed of the risks and have signed the Kilnfolk waiver.

Attention Students!
If you are signing up for a multi-week or workshop that includes open studio time please click below to create an account on our website. Be sure to use the email that you used to book your class. You then will be able to access the Open Studio Sign Up Page under Memberships. Each open studio session is just a start time and is good for up to 3 hours. Open studio time must be used in one day and cannot be split between multiple days. Multi-Week open studio sessions do not roll over and must be used in the week they are allotted.
